Forgiving Reed was the only book ever that made me cry in it's first chapters. It was not a ugly cry, tears just rolled down my cheek while reading.
Can you think how you would react if the one you love is taken away in a horrifying scene.
Kori's boyfriend the love her life is taken away from her. She moves back to her parents to raise there son Rhett. The struggles Kori face not only on the outside world but also the emotional struggles is captured perfectly. I would believe if I was in Kori's position I would have had the same struggles. the regret, the guilt of falling for another man. I think any woman who loves someone would agree with this.
"I think the question you need to be asking yourself is why I get under you skin so bad. I don't think anything I do or don't do is the problem. I think it's the feelings they cause in you. Those feeling you can't seem to control, but you're fighting so hard to hide."
Reed a man who made a stupid boy mistake years ago has grown up to be a sensitive man who would make any woman heart melt. not to mention that he can wear a pair of jean really well.
Their love is tested over and over again. And Yes there is a Oh God no moment in the book where you can't read fast enough to get to the next page just so you can see what will happen.
"One little action, or a major catastrophe, ripples along, changing everyone in its path for a reason. At the time we may think that it's unfair, torture even. Later on we're able to see the effect it caused and what good came from it."
I did really enjoyed the chapters that was written out of Reed PoV.
This book I would love to see made into a movie.
Overall I loved this book from the get go. The sex scenes isn't to shocking so it is perfect for anyone who just want to read a good shoppy love story.
