I got received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for the book tour.
The writing style took me a few pages to get used too. I loved the fact that the book was being told mainly out of Jeanne point of view but there were a few pages that was told out of Matts. It gave the book a fresh twist.
"sight of the tall, sandy-haired, light-eyed Viking descendants who looked so different from the average Frenchman."
This book is not like most love stories where the guy and girl falls in love in 4 days, have mad sex, they fight and make up. No......... Not for under my skin. The book plays out over a period of a year. The conflict the characters has to face within themselves and the temptation to be over come gives Under my Skin a fresh feel.
There is a lesson to be learned out of the book; its is never be mean to the nerd because few years from that day the nerd will be a Viking hottie. (lesson noted down)
"I noticed the way he looks at you, even with his girlfriend around. It's like a deja-vu from four years ago."
The fact that Jeanne is a strong character and is fighting everything inside her not to give in will make most woman related to her. Matt oh my god well that is all I will say.
Overall this was a good read and I started and finished it over a weekend.
I will recommend this book to anyone who love romance stories but doesn't like the detailed sex scenes in a book; than this Under my skin is perfect. There are hot steamy kiss scenes but that's where it stays (no spoilers off course)

I am an avid reader of chick lit, romance and fantasy, caffeine addict and a badge-wearing Mr. Darcy/Colin Firth fan.
I released my first book at the age of six. It had six postcard-size pages stitched together and bound in velvet paper. The book was titled "Eliza and Robert" and had atrocious mistakes in every single word. Some words were written in mirror image. Unintentionally. I remember being immensely proud of my creation.
Turns out there's a remarkable constancy to my life: decades later, I still love the name Robert and the genre romance. As for my spelling and grammar, they are only marginally better than at age six (thank God for editors!).
I live and work in Paris, France. When not writing, I read romance (what else?) and spend time with my family.
